Elmbridge Mocktail Competition Winner

Winning Mocktail chosen

The Elmbridge Community Partnership is pleased to announce the Weybridge Woo Woo as the winner of the Elmbridge Mocktail Competition, designed by local resident and businesswoman Sally Findlay.

The competition was open to all residents and businesses to design a non-alcoholic cocktail (Mocktail) that represents the Elmbridge area
Sally used orange juice, mango juice and ginger ale to create a refreshing non-alcoholic drink representing a sunny, vibrant Elmbridge.

Councillor Cross, Portfolio Holder for Community Development said "the competition was a great way to highlight alcohol awareness in the run up to the festive season and shows that there is a need to provide a non-alcoholic choice for customers in local bars and pubs. The entries were of a very high standard and it was very difficult picking just one winner''

If you would like to try the winning mocktail, the Weybridge Woo Woo will be available throughout the festive season and January at The Ditton Pub in Long Ditton.

The Competition has now finished

To support Alcohol Awareness Week 2012 Elmbridge Borough Council have launched a competition to find an Elmbridge Mocktail. We are looking for a non-alcoholic cocktail (mocktail) that represents the Borough of Elmbridge. The competition launched on the 19 November and runs to 3 December. It is open to all Elmbridge Residents, Businesses and Organisations.

The winner will have their mocktail publicised through the Elmbridge website, social media, press releases and also in the Elmbridge Review Magazine. The winner will also get the chance to have their mocktail made available in bars and pubs in Elmbridge. Entries can be submitted by completing a very short online form, which can be found at www.elmbridge.gov.uk/alcohol
